About Lisa Jean

Following her training at Buxton Catering College, Lisa spent several years working at London restaurants under the guidance of numerous award-winning chefs. Upon returning to the Midlands, she flourished as head chef at a Derby-based fine dining restaurant, earning a series of culinary accolades and acclaim.

Lisa now brings her experience, flair and precision to Bennetts Brasserie, where contemporary dining meets traditional setting.

Established in 1734, Bennetts is one of the UK’s oldest department stores. Our menus strive to unite the heritage of the setting with Lisa Jean’s contemporary style.

As you meander through the myriad of departments and marvel at their wares, you’ll discover our brasserie nestled right at the very end. Just one final set of stairs and you can enjoy some much needed respite in the comfort of our brasserie.

For the discerning tea lover, we have travelled far and wide to bring you some truly wonderful varieties. If a spot of breakfast or a leisurely brunch is on the cards, we’ve got two menus to help you start the day off right. Take a relaxing break for lunch in the week or bring the family for a traditional Sunday roast. We have plenty of choice with our a la carte lunch menu, light bites menu, set lunch menu and the family favourite, Sunday lunch menu. Or maybe your in search of something truly special – our highly acclaimed High Tea might be just the ticket.

Families are more than welcome and we have space in plentiful supply to accommodate large parties and special occasions. If you would like to book something special, please call us on 01332 344 261 ext.536.

Please note that Lisa Jean’s does not have disabled access to the restaurant which is located on the first floor. The toilets are located in the Tearooms which are situated on a different level.
